Although Education News states there are only three sonography  schools in Conneccticut, the National Center for Education Statistics lists four colleges. What Does Sonography Training Entail?

To successfully complete the training at any of the ultrasound technician schools in CT, a student must complete both the didactic and clinical portions of training. The didactic training involves classroom studies and lab courses. Some of the course topics include sonographic physics and instrumentation, clinical pathology, psychology, vascular sonography and GYN sonography. The clinical portion requires that students complete supervised internships and practicum courses where they obtain hands-on training performing ultrasound procedures. The student will gain experience in various areas of diagnostic medical sonography. Graduates of the training can sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification exams.
